What is self-esteem?

When the person knows his worth then that person means to have self-esteem. Self-esteem is about knowing one’s value and worth. People without self-esteem are easily prone to depression, stress, sadness, lack of self — confidence and self-belief.

Why self — esteem is important?

In this constantly disapproving world, we need someone who could approve of us as a better person. We need that sense of approval or validation that we are worth living the life and that we aren’t a load on the earth. The sense of being important, that our actions, our lives are impactful and worth it. That we aren’t just existing but doing something meaningful. These are the feelings that give people’s lives meaning, that’s why self-esteem is important to live with worth and belief. But this world won’t go on approving us, in a worst-case scenario, even the most loving peoples like parents disapprove of many things about their kids who end up having the lowest self-esteem, of course not all of them do it on purpose it’s psychologically passed on from the most influential peoples in our lives. But still in one way or the other it does happens to most of us.

That’s where the word self-esteem comes, esteem is connected to self. Yes, you have to start it for yourself. You have to start recognizing your worth in this world that’s what we are meant to do in this lifetime or maybe every lifetime. What is this worth?. Well, worth is something valuable in you that you could offer to the world. Yes, it’s that simple. Something valuable and something unique. Why do we need to find that worth, because it’ll help us to think that we are impacting the world, we are changing it for the betterment. This sense makes our lives worth living and makes every moment filled with happiness and contentment.
